St. Luke's Church, Rev. Robert Bracewell's church in Isle of Wight Co., Virginia

St. Luke's Church (also called "Old Brick") is the nation's only original Gothic church and the oldest existing church of English foundation in America. Its brick walls have stood for more than three centuries, located 2 miles from present-day Smithfield, Virginia on route 10.

Will signed 15 Feb. 1667/68 essentially divides his estate between" my two sonns Robert and Richardd whome I make my full & sole executors of this my will" in spite of the fact that they were both under 18 and he appointed friends Richard Izard and George Gwillim (Williams) as guardians. Records of Will, Deeds, ect. Vol. 1 1662-1715 p. 28. Immigrated to America 1649-1650. Died between 15 Feb and probate of will following May.
Robert was the executor of his father's nuncupative will probated Dec. 1641.
